Compliance Infrastructure Management Service Provider, Consult2Comply, Offers New Application Program Interface (API) Service to Clients and eGRC Vendors

Reston, VA (PRWEB) May 03, 2012

Consult2Comply (C2C), a premier regulatory compliance infrastructure management service provider, announced today the availability of their new Application Program Interface (API). This new offering is a common interface that allows communication between multiple compliance systems and software components. This API facilitates client support, functionality and allows C2C’s automated premier GRC tool, Compliance Mapper, to communicate with other GRC vendor related software systems.

This new interface leverages the power of Compliance Mapper to assist an organization in building and achieving a sustainable business-centric regulatory compliance framework and allows clients and GRC vendors access to their extensive regulatory content library using various formats. Information, regulatory content and data can now be quickly and easily imported and merged it into a common framework platform then tied together using standard XML and an open-ended structure.

Steve Crutchley, CEO of Consult2Comply said, “C2C has imported vast amounts of regulatory content into Compliance Mapper – over 400 standards, regulations and best practices – and mapped it across various regulatory landscapes. The power of these pre-built mappings is now available to clients or eGRC/enterprise software vendors through an easy integration with C2C’s API web services. In addition, we are now responding to client and vendor requests to provide active and live links within the frameworks we’ve created. We understand organizations need options because of tooling consolidation so creating content in complimentary formats, offering multiple platforms and an integrated approach is our way of helping them respond to the challenge”.

Modius PUE Dashboard

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 02, 2012

Modius Inc., the leading provider of real-time monitoring solutions for data center mission-critical infrastructure, today announced enhancements to its OpenData product line with the launch of OpenData® v3.7.

OpenData v3.7 introduces several important features, including:

High Availability Configuration Options – Modius has developed 4 new configuration options to insure high availability and redundancy for installations of its OpenData platform. These options provide 100% fail-over protection for OpenData’s database, application and data collection architecture.
Chart and Graphical Analytics – Modius has added a new, robust reporting feature that allows users to easily assess variations in performance data over a fully customizable time period. These easy to read, interactive reports provide instant statistical analysis across individual or groups of devices in the data center.
Active Directory User Management – OpenData v3.7 now allows for its users to be authenticated against the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server to insure that access and permissions are consistently applied.
SAP Crystal (Xcelsius) Dashboard Integration – Based on recent customer field work, Modius has developed a new integration that provides the ability to embed SAP Crystal (Xcelsius) dashboards and reports directly into OpenData. This new feature allows SAP Crystal users to access their existing reports and dashboards without leaving the OpenData application.
Extended Browser Support – OpenData v3.7 now supports Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) versions 8 and 9 as well as Mozilla Firefox versions 4, 5 and 6.

“As more and more data centers adopt DCIM solutions to manage their assets and infrastructure, the importance of application uptime and data integrity becomes a critical factor for selecting the right product from the right vendor,” said Craig Compiano, CEO of Modius. “Modius’ ability to offer the customer enterprise-class options for high availability and redundancy across the OpenData architecture insures that decisions derived from this critical application are timely and accurate.”

From a single console, Modius’ OpenData platform displays in real-time comprehensive power and environmental intelligence from a distributed network of facilities – including data centers, server closets, call centers and mechanical yards. Using these metrics, data center leaders have the ability to anticipate and plan for numerous data center events that will enable them to reduce data center energy consumption. The system can be installed either locally within the enterprise network or remotely with the database and server application hosted in a cloud-based configuration for easier service management.

Modius is now offering a free trial of OpenData v3.7 to companies that are interested in exploring the benefits of their enterprise-class DCIM solution. For more information on participating in this free trial, please visit our website at http://www.modius.com.

BEP Systems Helps Wales & West Utilities Implement an Enterprise Content Management Solution

BEP Systems Helps Wales & West Utilities Implement an Enterprise Content Management Solution

London, UK (PRWEB UK) 15 March 2012

In April 2011, BEP Systems began working with Wales & West Utilities (WWU), the gas distribution company covering Wales and the South West, to support the company’s deployment of its Extended ECM platform from Open Text. WWU was seeking to enhance the management and control of their corporate and operational documentation, whilst also providing an archiving solution to support their extensive use of SAP. BEP’s role was to design the filing plan for the system (informing the configuration work being undertaken by WIPRO, the systems integrator for the project) and define the information governance policies for the implementation.

Via a series of meetings and workshops, BEP engaged with staff across the business, including Asset Management, Operations, Business and Customer Services, HR & Training, Finance, IT, Procurement and Logistics. During these discussions a configuration plan was developed covering filing structures, metadata, access control and retention considerations. Simultaneous to this BEP undertook legal research and engaged with the Legal and Internal Audit teams to confirm corporate records retention rules and processes.

In November 2011, BEP provided WWU with a full Report on designing the filing system for all business areas, enabling a consistent use of business rules and rapid configuration phase. Additionally BEP created a Policy and accompanying Procedures documents for Information and Records Management. As well as containing the Records Retention Schedule, this included policy statements, processes and guidelines for managing both physical and digital content throughout their lifecycle from creation to disposition or long term preservation. This ensured that the ECM implementation was supported by suitable governance and that best practice in record keeping using the new platform would be embedded into business operations.

About BEP Systems:

BEP offers world-class advice and services for content management and information governance, including best-practices for retention and disposal, data protection, and information security.

The company’s services include:

Information governance – development of information and records management policies, procedures, business classification schemes, retention schedules (legal research), and implementation of retention policy within IT systems.

Business content analysis – A content analysis and diagnostics service that enables our customers to carry out audits of their information assets. Solutions include analysis of unstructured and semi-structured data, cleansing information, assessing data security, and preparation of content for migration.

    Microsoft SharePoint Implementation Services.

RaMP manages both IT and Facilities through a single pane of glass

St. Louis, MO and Austin, TX (PRWEB) February 09, 2012

No Limits Software and RF Code, Inc. today announced the integration of No Limits Software’s RaMP DCIM solution and RF Code’s wire-free, sensor based environmental monitoring solutions. The integrated solution enables data center managers and facility managers to improve visibility and control of the environment within the data center.

The combined solution provides users with multiple views of the data center, including status, rack utilization, average and maximum temperature, and average and maximum rack power. This information can be viewed in even greater detail at the rack level, where the user can also view temperature and power utilization at the device level.

“The RF Code wire-free technology and RaMP provide a seamless solution for data center managers to monitor and manage environmental conditions,” said Dave Cole, President of No Limits Software. “It was a natural fit because of the openness and flexibility of both products. We look forward to working with RF Code on other asset and real-time monitoring initiatives.”

“No Limits software is a forward-thinking company that understands how to bring additional value to its customers through the integrated solution announced today,” said Chad Riseling, RF Code Vice President of Worldwide Sales. “They have a clear grasp of the benefits a very powerful, easy- to-use tool for monitoring and managing their power and cooling brings to their data center and facilities end users. It’s a scenario in which everyone involved wins.”

The RaMP DCIM solution provides the following benefits:

Auto-discovery of detailed device information
Power and environmental monitoring down to the device level
Server monitoring to identify servers which should be retired, virtualized or consolidated
Software and operating system license management
Automated change control to reduce MTTR and increase availability
Web services API provides integration with other systems

RF Code’s active RFID-based wire-free environmental monitoring technology provides information about temperature, humidity, leak detection, dry contact and door status. This gives customers the real-time information they need to better manage the environmental factors that influence data center assets, including power and cooling.

Enterprise Management Associates and IBM Industry Experts to Present Free Unified Management for Security Webinar Series

Boulder, CO (PRWEB) January 19, 2012

Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), a leading IT and data management research and consulting firm, today announced it will host a complimentary Unified Management for Security Webinar series. This series, featuring EMA Managing Research Director Scott Crawford and IBM Senior Product Marketing Manager Mark Ehr, will provide a comprehensive overview of unified security and IT operations management.

“Organizations worry about the threat landscape’s unknowns, when they could go far in defending against today’s threats by better securing the known: their own environment,” says EMA’s Crawford. “A good deal of the problem for many is that their approach is more fragmented and disjointed than it needs to be. Security tools and systems management technologies are too often siloed, may not integrate well, and frequently have overlaps, even though they often perform the same functions such as software distribution and control over potentially harmful change. This complicates management and leads to exposures that are avoidable, particularly when solutions exist that could unify these silos, improve efficiencies and – most important – better protect sensitive information assets.”

Registration information for all three Webinars is as follows:

Tuesday, January 31, 2012

11:00 am Pacific / 2:00 pm Eastern

MicroMain Releases First Tag Technology for Maintenance Management

Snap this Tag!

Austin, TX (PRWEB) January 19, 2011

MicroMain is pleased to announce the release of InfoTag, which uses Microsoft Tag technology for instant access to maintenance information via a smartphone. Tag is a new type of Microsoft 2D bar code optimized for displaying information on mobile phones. In order to read a Tag, users first download the free Microsoft Tag Reader. They are then able to snap the Tag, which connects to the customer’s MicroMain database. This live feed instantly displays asset information on their iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry or other smartphone.

MicroMain is the first computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) vendor to release Tag technology for facility management.

“We are used to tapping mobile phones for instant information,” says Pat Conroy, President of MicroMain. “So now our customers can immediately see the maintenance history of an asset in the same way they can find a restaurant or look up directions on their smartphone. This new technology opens up a whole new way to track and manage equipment.”

With Microsoft Tag, users snap the image and immediately view information. They do not need to type in long URLs or SMS messages. Tags are dynamic and reflect live data unlike the static readings from bar codes.

MicroMain InfoTag instantly displays an asset’s maintenance service record. More details such as task steps and technician comments are available with one more click. In addition to maintenance history, standard asset details include warranty, location by property, manufacturer, install date and replace by date.

With MicroMain InfoTag, users can create Tags for their equipment or have MicroMain provide this service for them. Tags are available in black and white or color and can be sized as small as a dime.

“We are already working on new add-ons for InfoTag, such as repair manuals, floor plans, and video clips,” says Conroy. “We are pleased to be the first to tap Tag technology for maintenance management, and we are very excited about the many advantages for our customers.”

Use your smartphone to get the free Microsoft Tag Reader at http://gettag.mobi. Then scan the Tag above.

MicroMain Corporation has been helping customers worldwide improve their maintenance, facility management, and capital planning operations. MicroMain products are delivered with source code, an unprecedented offering that gives each customer complete solution control and flexibility. Since 1991, more than 3,300 customers have chosen MicroMain.
